Steering Committee
Monique Gonzalez
President
Point Loma Nazarene University
Monique brings experience and dedication to her Director of Student Financial Services role at Point Loma Nazarene University. With 9 years in the field, Monique is passionate about leading and mentoring her team. She actively contributes to the organization's systems development and is her office's Google Guru. She's committed to fostering student success and accountability.
Monique was drawn to the PacWest committee at her first event while still in her first year as a director at PLNU. She had the chance to attend other conferences, but this one felt different—it was clear there was a strong sense of community. A firm believer in learning through involvement, she decided to join and deepen her understanding of the leadership role she had taken on at PLNU, all while connecting with others in the field. She remains grateful for that decision and the valuable relationships and work she’s contributed to while serving on this committee.
In her free time, Monique enjoys making tasty meals, diving into thought-provoking books, getting absorbed in movies, and enjoying lively game nights with loved ones.

She met the director of Student Accounts at La Verne during the 2024 Pacwest SFS conference in Palm Springs, the start of what she expects to be a long, fruitful career with the university. She is currently responsible for the delinquent student accounts portfolio including analytics, reporting and managing receivables. As a PacWest committee member, Kayla is most excited to continue building invaluable relationships with counterparts from other universities as well as encouraging new and veteran members to do the same, providing the opportunity to become the best they can be in their current roles.

Rosemary Irvine
Treasurer
California State University, Northridge
Rosemary Irvine has been in student financials for 20 years; serving both private and public institutions. She is currently serving as Director of Student Financial Services at California State University, Northridge. She is passionate about affordable education initiatives and the first-generation experience. During her free time, she likes to spend time with her rambunctious bulldog, roaming Disneyland, and diving into a good book with a cup of coffee. Rosemary’s words on Treasury position: PacWest hosted my first conference, and I always valued the knowledge shared. As I developed my career, I knew I wanted to give back to the organization, the Treasury position was a natural fit for someone who enjoys metrics, excel sheets, budgeting and projections. It’s been a rewarding opportunity to learn the various aspects of putting on a Conference and the development of PacWest as it continues to support member development.
